Jet is a carbon-based mineral with a black or very dark brown color tone and slight wood grain inclusions since it is made of fossilized wood. This stone is most often found in England, France, Russia, Poland, and Turkey. The English town of Whitby is well-known as the most famous source of high-quality Jet. Metaphysically, Jet is used to alleviate anger, grief, and fear. This stone is also believed to hold healing properties that filter out negative energy to keep us aligned and balanced.
